INDIAN CULTURAL AND FOOD FESTIVAL MELA 2010 Saturday, 27th March 2010, 11 am to 10 pm at Elder Park
Imagine listening to foot tapping Bollywood music. Or being involved in the art forms of India that stretch back thousands of years. Or even experiencing the lip smacking delicacies of India. Or even all of this, without even booking an air ticket. That's right...once again, the Indian Cultural and Food Festival, the "Mela" is back, bigger and better than before!!!!! On the 27th of March, come to Elder Park ( Next to Adelaide Festival Centre on King William Street ), where, from 11AM to 10PM you can experience India, and all that it has to offer, in one place. Mela has been hosted in the City for the past 20 years by the Indian Australian Association of South Australia. Each year it is attracting more and more visitors. Last year in 2009 almost 9000 people from so many diverse ethnic and multicultural backgrounds enjoyed this amazing festival.
You can watch the very best of the Indian Community in South Australia as they chronicle the Journey of India, by showcasing its myriad of art forms. Watch the classical dance, classical music, and the very latest Bollywood song and dance take place on the synchronised stages within the premises.
